    I searched the bug forum a bit but I could not find any post mentioning this one before.
    Whenever you use the quote button you will get the 'originally posted here by user' added to it automaticly.
    However the url of the original post does not get added.

    I noticed that a while ago but I thought it had been fixed. It used to work, so someone must have changed something in the quote system and forgotten to test it - perhaps when JP implemented the 'quote checked' feature?
