    Post Award BIOS Setting...

    Can anyone tell me how to set the Award BIOS setting on the top of performance or tell me where I can get the tips about BIOS setting, because what I know is when we bought a new pc, all the BIOS setting is set at default setting.

    My Specifications is:

    AMD Athlon 1700+
    Epox 8KHA+ M/B
    WinFast GeForce FX 5200 128MB
    266DDR Kingston RAM 512MB
    40GB Maxtor HDD
    WinFast TV Tuner XP
    Windows XP Pro SP1

    my award bios actualy has a menu option that is called "optimized settings" try that see how it does for you. For mor information you might want to check www.award.com or maybe google

    just a tip as you said its a new pc... first thing u should do for performance and long life is get some cooling... and keep your pc on ice... the only real way you can alter the performance from the bios is by overclocking, and since its a new pc highly unrecomended, unless you know what your doing...
