blank exe in msconfig startup?
ok, im using windows xp pro for my os and when i go into msconfig and then the start up tab i find one program that has no text under "name" and "command" but says "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.....does anybody know what this is or why its here?

No idea, but as a general rule, if i dont know what it does or why its there (with referance to programs that run on startup), i disable it.

blank name is an old trick of back orafice....I would disable it and see if any thing breaks, but its probably not something lagit

If you want to find out what it does, try going into run then type services.msc find it and it will tell you what it is for.... Using services.msc is better then msconfig, why because msconfig just stops the program from running when you boot, services.msc stops it from running totally. So even if your going to disable it (using msconfig) use services.msc to disable it...
