Account Logging
I have a computer running Win XP Pro and have multiple accounts set up for various people that use the computer(this computer is at work and I take care of it).
Does Windows Offer a service that will log what a user does once he logs into his account. I know that theres a lot of spy software, but all I really need is just something to tell me if settings are being changed ect.
Aslo is there anyway that I can set up a policy on a non networked computer telling what users can and cannot access on the hard drive.

on a non networked computer, if you dont want them accessing the hard drive then dont give them a account on it or disable their account. Pretty easy

whatttt???? are u insane ...tellin people to use trojans ....whewwww
hey cheyenne1212 ...if this is any help...use a keylogger ... i got one that tells you what windows the open and stuff .... i know thats not much help ... but for the start its not bad...i attached the keylogger with this post ...
and Darksnake .... he said more user are using his comp... so if he disabled their accounts they woul have to use his account ...the one with admin rights...so that kind of the same thing .....
also cheyenne1212 a good option is to disable admin rights on their account ...make their right limited ... so they can NOT change or remove any software ....

LOL @ Boomwoody! I beleave Cheyenne1212 wants something similair to this...
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=310399
Most of the keyloging capabilities in trojans are limited to only loging pressed keys... anways while he's clicking files the key logs will only show something like this [/LC] which sometimes represents that the left mouse button has been clicked. Hell many keyloging trojans are so cheaply coded that it won't even log the keys pressed on the mouse & BTW Not all trojans sit around and wait for a intruder to send commands to it either... sometimes they can be very harmfull.

Trojans are bad.... mmmmmk?
boomwoody, how is using a Trojan good, at any time? It opens up your system for anyone to hack. And usually if a computer is networked, it has access to the Internet. So that would usually lead into having people from the outside be able to break in. But nonetheless, putting a Trojan on a computer is a BIG seciruty issue. Though I would like to hear your side and have you prove me wrong, logically, if you don't mind.

Formatting my server because someone hacked into it sounds pretty boring to me...
