    Question Recommendation for secure IM

    Off topic?

Anyone have a suggestion, or observations, for a "secure" IM/chat solution? The key points are: cheap (free?) and possibly available with clients for both MS and Linux. There's a billion of them out there, and I don't have to time to download and test *every single one*.

We'd like to try this out with our admins and security officers to act as our own CERT, of sorts ... so it's *kind of* related to the AntiOnline mission...

    Thanks.
    Myk

I've moved this to Misc Security because it is a valid question. Are you looking for an existing IM (like ICQ, AIM) or on a seperate network (say unique to your LAN)?

What about using an SSL or SSH tunnel?
