Thread: AO Goodies

    AO Goodies

Cuz of the new AP feature I was browsing some of the older post cuz I remeber that JP was asked to assign the names a couple of times and always said no to it.
When browsing this I found something interesting. In one of the earlier post on the AP system (when it got introduced in the first place) JP talked about AO goodies.
If you would have a high number of points you could get discounts.
I have however not seen anything about AO goodies ever since.

I have PMed with intmon and also brought this to light.
So how would AO members feel about AO goodies like coffeecups, mousemats perhaps even shirts and so.
I think with Jupmedia being the new site owner they would be happy to implement this.
(the discounts for the points may not be that good idea.)

    The question is:
Would you like/buy AO goodies and what would you like to see ?

    Thanks

same opinion here... i mean some seniors are here since 2001 and have a very high number of positive antipoint...and they are still helping .... i guess they should get soemthing in return .... also if someone has positive APs that means he helped the community a lot .... gifts would be appriciated ...

I don't really EXPECT gifts for posting to a forum community. I mean, that's not very realistic. That's like getting prizes for e-mailing your friends.

It would be cool, however, to have a cafepress store, with lunchboxes, mugs, t-shirts...etc. I think Jupiter would get a good response and probably make some extra money from the site that way (without going overboard on the profit prices).

Yeah, I'd buy up the whole store. I like cafepress products. I had my own store at one time which did fairly well. It's easy to set up designs and the quality is fantastic. And if you've ever looked into it, they really don't charge a bad price for printing things to items, considering most local shops in Ohio charge by how many items you're getting the design on, and the more the cheaper it is.

Bumping up this thread because I am curious how everybody feels about this.

To make it clear I am not talking about FREE goodies but just goodies in general.
JP talked about discounts in one of the early posts about the antipoint system but I think this just applies to anti-burgers royal.
Perhaps it is an idea (perhaps it is an idea:huh ?) to have some items available to addicts or seniors like that fonz jacket talked about in the other thread. That could add a new meaning to that.

I think that Jupmedia will be FOR this thing (intmon told me they have this kinda thing on other sites.).

I would like to see the following:
    Coffeecups
    Mousepads
    Baseballcaps
    Shirts/Sweaters
    Lunchboxes (thanks GG)
    AO sweetypops (?)

But perhaps there are other members that could come up with more ideas.

    Anyways thanks for the replies.

    Cheers
