There are lots more than just that... those archives are riddled with viruses and trojans.
Quitmzilla is a firefox extension that gives you stats on how long you have quit smoking, how much money you\'ve saved, how much you haven\'t smoked and recent milestones. Very helpful for people who quit smoking and used to smoke at their computers... Helps out with the urges.

Also some files are trojans or virii, with the only intention to use it on a lan
and get to know how they work.

Anyway, they should be there, they were in the past....

I think this is an opportune time to remind those who are not aware: never run as root unless you must! I remember when i had to break my bad habit from always using a root account, i can't tell you how many hard lessons i had to learn before i switched to primarily using a limited account. Remember you can always rightclick "run as" when you need to install/run a program, plus you will be making everyone else on the net a whole lot safer in the meantime.

Not only that, but when you download anything from anyone's security archives, you had better be paying very very close attention to what is inside...and when you do finally get up the courage to run it, to run it in a closed test environment...

There is only one constant, one universal, it is the only real truth: causality. Action. Reaction. Cause and effect...There is no escape from it, we are forever slaves to it. Our only hope, our only peace is to understand it, to understand the 'why'. 'Why' is what separates us from them, you from me. 'Why' is the only real social power, without it you are powerless.

Hey, I downloaded a virus/exploit and my antivirus program tells me it is a virus/exploit! OMG! I would have been disappointed if my antivirus program didn't detect anything in the archive. By the way, isn't there any search for the downloads?? I couldn't find the archive that praveendasika mentioned. Well, maybe a searching tool would encourage users to use those files wrongfully as they can really be quite dangerous stuff...
You know, I heard they're preparing a law here in Finland that would make it illegal for one to even own any hacking software... Distributing is already illegal, as far as I know... Oh, now I got far away from the topic... Maybe I'll just shut up.

Edit/Add: Oh, FrameWork, thanks for the tip... "Run as"... That should be a reasonable way of installing programs without first logging off and back on as administrator. I'll change my personal account from admin to a limited user rightaway.

wow who'd have thought that you might find a virus or a trojan on a site dedicated to studying computer security(for lack of a better term). reminds me of a friend who downloaded VCL(virus creation lab for all you newbies) a long time ago and wondered how he got infected
