    Here's a nasty new scam

Hi all: Still new at this so I'm not sure which forum this would be best expressed in. But here's a new scam (couldn't find anything on google about this yet). One of my users got this and asked before complying - a good move.

My team already alerted best buy to this and wrote the FCC too.

I think whoever wrote this email is trying to get you to reply with your credit card info. The dead link could be part of the whole scheme. I wouldn't really call this one new, I've seen tons like it before.

    View Source

When I went to view source the link went to a site called webgamma.com (I never actually clicked it) and I'm sure that they wanted you to put in your credit card info.

I had never seen this scam so I had to think about it some before figuring it out how to test it.

I don't like to click links like this since I end up on sites with endless redirects and popup ads that annoy me.
