    New unidentified trojan

    Check out the following articles. Does anybody have any idea when or what this new virus is?

    I read it a couple of days ago. Thought it was very interesting so I kept an eye on it.

    the trojan itself is very interesting ...i'd like to get my hands on it's code to see how it works..

    Trojan.Linux.Typot

    Please Note a thread about this same Trojan is running in "Miscellaneous Security Discussions" ..

    Trojan.Linux.Typot is a trojan horse affecting Linux systems. It generates TCP packets with a window size of 55808.

    Also Known As: 55808, Stumbler
    Type: Trojan Horse
    Infection Length: variable
    Systems Affected: Linux
    Systems Not Affected: Windows 3.x, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Me, Microsoft IIS, Macintosh, OS/2, UNIX
    Discovered on: June 20, 2003

    just thought I would add that for humour

    This info was found on Symantec's Security response site

    But we already knew this... but they don't fully know yet.. well that is what I have interperteted from the info.. I haven't checked how the other AV's have listed it.. the info in the other thread will help more...
