Comcast Transition Monotor Program
Just a quick note about the above auto program from Comcast part of it likes to reach out on port 53 a ton of times during the day. Now mind you this is a very old port most often used to relay email among other stuff. After looking at the firewall logs I really see nothing wrong with what it is doing but I do have a major problem with the fact that there is no mention of this activity. Bad enough the meail changes yet again but then to scan systems from the inside out and not tell people they are doing so is WRONG! So what they find port 53 open and they assume you are doing something wrong. Funny also even though I told it to prompt me before calling home it never asks. Just a heads up I'm retired from all of this now almost a year now I know why.
I believe that one of the characteristics of the human race - possibly the one that is primarily responsible for its course of evolution - is that it has grown by creatively responding to failure.- Glen Seaborg
