    Yes, just went to http://www.symantec.com/search/ and searched their knowledge base. This problem used to happen to us here at work all the time (when we were using Norton personal on all our machines) and so I have about 20 links to common problems for quick reference.

    When this happened to me A few days ago I used sysem restore. This could be of some use. That suggestion was from a home use. But, if you were running from a master sever as an admin theoreticly you could restore whole farms of compputers.
