knoppix-std is a great program that boots to linux beware when downloading that it is a 600 meg *.iso file so u need a burner that burns images (i think all do) like aHead nero it has so much to work with like pass brut forcers, tracerouts, honeypots, firewalls, exploit scanners, the whole works u can dl at www.knoppix-std.org o yea and its free which makes it even better

you dont really need money, just search around for cheap or free computers, garage sales, friends, family, newspaper.... then just by a small router or hub, network them and install different OS on them.

i have doen hackerslab.org and yeah, it is a good way to learn stuff. and its legal. tho it requires in-depht knowledge in *nix and coding.

ok, ive checked out the hackerslab thing and that looks the best. anybody have a file of all the Linux codes?

Here is something that might help. It is the Unix Bible. I believe most of the commands are the same. Play around and see.
