Honeynets are computers that are left somewhat unprotected on purpose.
The objective is to lure hackers (should I say crackers) into them to see what kind of techniques they use.
A great site to learn more about honeynets is : http://project.honeynet.org/

No, the honeynet project has spurred a bunch of spin-off products, many commercial. However, you can always get honeyd at http://www.citi.umich.edu/u/provos/honeyd/

If you are also looking for the difference between honeypots and honeynets.....
I believe as noODle said, a honeypot is a computer left relatively unprotected, while a honeynet is a simulated "network" (Web server, email, local LAN, etc) left unprotected....
