    Red Hat Linux 8.0

    Hello Everone,
Its me here. I have some questions regarding Red Hat Linux 8.0
    1) I want to know that is it necessary that RED HAT Linux should be installed on Primary partition or within the first 10 gigz of the hard disk?
    2) are there any irc clients for Red Hat Linux?

    3) What is the difference between Linux and Unix?

    4) Well this question is not related with Linux? WELL, can anyone tell when a person says my PGP key is this ?how to use it and wots the use of pgp. How could i get a pgp key of my own?
    Please help,
    Thank you
    Omer

IF you already have windows on the drive, then you need to set your RedHat on an extended partition. I usually go with Partition Magic for this task.

    ____

PGP means "pretty good privacy" its a form of encryption.

There are free ones out there like this one: http://www.webattack.com/get/pgp.shtml

The PGP key is like your password.

PGP is based on the public-key method, which uses two keys -- one is a public key that you disseminate to anyone from whom you want to receive a message. The other is a private key that you use to decrypt messages that you receive.

    1) Cut yourself a new partition and just use that.. doesn't matter where it is.
    2) ircII, BitchX, Epic, IRSSI, XChat (Gui) and others. Search Google.
    3) check out http://www.computerhope.com/unix/linux.htm
    4) FrameWork answered that.

Ok Im going to agree with my boy HT and also add to it. First, SuSE Linux 8.1 professional and 8.2 professional OWN. Also Mandrake 9.1 is great. Its very stable, a built in firewall like almost all new OSs seem to have now, And with Nvidia being awesome and releasing a shell script for all there cards It makes you proud.

For IRC Iv never seen any OS come close to having so many good clients. Some maybe hard to learn at first but if your willing your good. For IRC id recommend Xchat, IRSSI and BitchX, Oh and Emacs has an IRC client too.

Also, you get to play Tux games
Kill the lights, let the candles burn behind the pumpkins’ mischievous grins, and let the skeletons dance. For one thing is certain, The Misfits have returned and once again everyday is Halloween. The Misfits FreeBSD
    Cannibal Holocaust
    SuSE Linux
    Slackware Linux
