Some one 'splain why this is an issue..so they use cookies for authentication and what not...big deal....hell some of the ads the yhave may have cookies in them also...I get more blocked cookies from the adds on fark and securityfocus...face it folks if a site wants to survive on the net it needs to make money, they make money by either chargeing for membership or selling adds, and add companies some like to track customers, if you don't like it stop useing the net.

I ran Aluria's spyware/adware and found nothing from Jupiter or AO. Just the inevitable Gator and other Misc. crap.

Try looking at your site options...
Automatically login when you return to the site? (uses cookies) yes no Browse board with cookies?
Clicking yes will use cookies to keep your id for this session. Clicking no will send it through the links. (Selecting no may cause problems when sharing links with people behind the same proxy as you) yes no
OMG...cookies!!
You can of course turn it off if you want, but it is pretty annoying...
There is only one constant, one universal, it is the only real truth: causality. Action. Reaction. Cause and effect...There is no escape from it, we are forever slaves to it. Our only hope, our only peace is to understand it, to understand the 'why'. 'Why' is what separates us from them, you from me. 'Why' is the only real social power, without it you are powerless.

No tricks.
Just read the privacy policy which has a link on every page. The bulletin board software sets a cookie to track your account. And the ad server, like most ad servers on the Internet, uses cookies as part of its delivery.
But you knew that already, didn't you?

Who really cares, it's a cookie. They use it to better the sight and to gather business related statistics and data. JM and Antionline are MONEY MAKING ventures.
