    Question Linksys befsx41 (closing ports)

    I can't find a way to close ports on my router (Linksys befsx41). could someone give me some info on closing ports or point me in the right direction.

    Does the router have a web administration utility? Try hitting this in your web browser: http://192.168.1.1 - I'm assuming that's the default IP address of the router. That should allow you to log into the setup of the router...

    Port 139 is closed by default. (is that what you are asking ?)

    To open/close ports go to http://192.168.1.1 - advanced - forwarding.
    The list shows what ports have been opened manually, and what internal IP they are forwarding to.
