xp pro wont let me defrag more than 1 drive at once like u could with win '98

ive got xp pro on my home system which is soon to have a 4th hard drive, (dont ask) and there doesnt appear to be a way to set defrag up to defrag all 4 of the drives without any user intervention, what i want to do is tell it to do all 4 at once without having to select the different dives manually by myself, i looked at the help file in xp for this and couldnt find anything, just a command line version which is only capable of taking 1 drive letter at a time as an argument....

anyone know of a way to get around this or of a free 3rd party defragging software?

That was my first idea. Create a batch file to scan the first then the second and so on and so forth. This would work better than the task scheduler because you don't know how long each defrag will take. The task scheduler will fight for control over the defrag utility. The batch will wait for each defrag to complete and then move onto the next. ****I think****

Phishphreek.... my thoughts exactly I agree that doing batch file would be better than using task scheduler (does anyone actually use task scheduler for anything by the way???). I'm about 99.9% sure that the batch file will wait for each defrag to finish before moving on.
