Microsoft reveals 'critical' flaw
Microsoft issued another passel of warnings about security holes Wednesday, including a "critical" flaw that affects most Windows PCs.

So if i dont use MIDI files i wont be affected by this flaw?

Exploiting the flaw would entail the creation of a maliciously malformed MIDI file, which vulnerable Windows users would have to be tricked into running, either through e-mail or a Web page
why not use MIDI files ...theres always a patch for a flaw

Sure there is always a patch but only so many holes can be filled in a O.S that is like Swiss cheese. It is a good thing that it was found and patched before a real problem came around and bit everyone in the A$$ Thanks for posting this
