Do U Know The First Hypertext Internet Directory ?
Hytelnet was the first online, hypertext Internet directory, compiled in 1990. It is no longer being maintained and none of the links are active. If you are interested in linking to library home pages and web-based online catalogs then u better check this out : www.libdex.com
The Hytelnet Archive shows the large number of telnet sites that were active before the World Wide Web came along. Browse through the list of early sites which started sharing information online.
* Library Catalogues, arranged geographically
* Library Catalogues, arranged by vendor
* Sites using the Java(tm) Telnet Applet
* Internet Glossary
* Telnet tips
* Telnet/TN3270 escape keys
* Link to webCATS: web-based online catalogues
