By any chance did you save your original BIOS
Once you have successfully updated your BIOS and the computer restarts you may see the message 'CMOS Checksum Bad'. This is NOT an error message per say, it simply indicates that you need to enter the CMOS Setup Utility by pressing the DELETE or F1 key and save the CMOS settings.

Pull out the battery and let it reset to its default settings.
Maybe that will let you reconfigure it and maybe soves your problem.

Was it any error or did you cancel the flashing of bios?

cmos checksum error is usually after you clear the cmos, and its left blank, it wil keep displaying that till you go in to the bios setup then save.

    btw did your flash work?

But he's problem is BIOS Rom checksum error... That means the hole "bios-program" is messed up.

your Bios imagen might be corrupted the one that you used to "update" your bios, you just have to do it again and make sure that you have the imagen with out any error whenever you download it.

LOL you usually can't just flash it again if it had an error the 1st time. You have a cool paperweight. You might have a motherboard that supports auto flashing like I have an epox that will go back to original if flash fails. You may want to check on yours. If not then you are assed out and you have to get the flash memory replaced. I may be jumping to conclusions but I am assuming you mean your flashing of BIOS went wrong somewhere and it is fubar. That's why any pc tech will tell you if your BIOS ain't broke don't fix it. It is not like a new program that needs to be updated all the time.
