    Question Firewall with no backdoor

I heard that there used to be a firewall with no backdoor but the government made them update it so the newer versions have a backdoor built in that the government can access does anyone know what im talking about?

LOL, yeah. It sounds like you are talking about the infamous project, "unfux0r th3 h4x0r".

I've been in the Govt. arena for many years and I have never heard of such a thing.

BTW, the first line is a joke in case you are the sensitive type.

While I've never worked in any sector of the government, one would have to assume that anyone believing this rumor is the ultra conspirocy fanatic. Sounds like a line or something you might hear in a movie or something.. I'd say it's just a line of garbage..

Yeh i know what ur talkin about...it was on the xfiles. But yeh...truthfully i havent heard of such a thing. I believe the gov't doenst hack into anyone's computers. They'd be caught by now...not everyone is computer illiterate. If there was a firewall with no backdoor it'd prolly be the gov't's anyways...or the PIX firewall maybe.

I doubt the existince of such a firewall, as cool as it would be, there is always a backdoor.

Sure your not getting confused with the US Government's requirements on encryption so that the NSA can brute force decrypt anything outside US?

I have only heard of backdoors on one firewall product, and even that was only alleged, and that was also years ago.

There is only one constant, one universal, it is the only real truth: causality. Action. Reaction. Cause and effect...There is no escape from it, we are forever slaves to it. Our only hope, our only peace is to understand it, to understand the 'why'. 'Why' is what separates us from them, you from me. 'Why' is the only real social power, without it you are powerless.
