    Download problems

I am running win98 and RealDownload and when i try to download anything i get an error message that says
    WSAECONNREFUSED: Connection refused

Can anyone tell me what causes this or even better how to fix it?

Have you tried unistalling RealDownload? I'd definitely recommend that first.

If you insist on using some form of dl accelerator, there are plenty of others available. I've searched for the error, and can find nothing useful. I, personally, dislike Real products, period. Good luck.

no luck on that error here either... but if you want a great download accelerator, try Download Accelerator Plus... works good! Hell, even the ol' built in downloader suffices most of the time anywho, lol

It's just a simple "no connection" fault. Look below your avatar. See how it says "Proxy Detected"....I bet that's your problem. You need to configure the crappy Realdownload to work with your proxy. This link may help.......

Also, give GetRight a try. It's the download manager IMHO....
