    could someone please explain me what "reserved mapping policies" is?
    i saw it over the internet the other day and i didnt know what it is
    (google didn't turn up much)

    In what context was it mentioned? It sounds like it's referring to NAT (Network Address Translation). You can try Googling for information on NAT. My brain's too fried to give a good explanation right now.

    Crap. I can't find anything on this, anywhere. I've asked a couple people, who I expected to know exactly what it was, but they aren't sure, either. It appears to be related to, or is a type of port forwarding. For the few hits that Google supplies, I'm surprised that there's no definition of the term. Good luck, I'll keep looking.

    reference to us if you canthe article/document or what it was you were reading

    i saw it on a site (i dont have the url unfortunatenly =\ ) saying something about IDS etc, i dont remember the text exactly, i asked a few people, they didnt know the answer either.
