Win XP virus

hi! Today when i restart my win xp, it gave me error. ON asking some expert, he told me that its a virus (cluster virus i think) which effected winxp. Now i m having bad sector problem as well as problem with dial up connection. What else consequenses of this virus? And is there anyway i can remove bad sectors and fix modem problem. Plzz help me.

First you should move this into the "antivirus discussions" forum, and second you should give a little more info about this virus....like it's name for example. Also, have you run AV yet?
