Hummmm..... I wonder why peaple keep saying "not sure what this is all about" especially with the new logo... I mean I don't remember peaple saying that when the old logo was up. Kinda odd ain't it? Oh and by the way it says what this site is mainly about on the ga-damned ****ing homepage.

Also im very tired due to watching DVDs all night and so im haveing a little trouble understanding your question... im still trying to figuer out whether or not you are haveing trouble useing this program, connecting with it, or just finding it.

well, i'll put it this way:
it is known that windows has "services".
1 of those services called "Terminal Service".

now, there is an option in the "Terminal Service" that enable "Remote Help System", or 2 make it more simple, an option 2 just remote admin the pc. i login with my account which is in the remote pc with a program that uses the "Terminal Service - remote help system enable" <- this program, which is provided by microsoft, called "Remote Desktop Connection".

anyway, the pc im talking about, has the "Terminal Service" ENABLE, BUT, the "sub-service" called "Remote Help System" is disabled.

in windows 2000 i know how 2 enable it, but in xp i dont. the pc im talking about is xp. thats it, how do i enable the "Remote Help System" ?

and again, 2 make it more clear.. When "Terminal Service" runs, it can be, that the "Remote Help System" will be enable...
Terminal Service -> (Remote Help System=disabled, i want it enabled on XP)

if u didnt undersatdn what i mean, then maybe u need 2 read some documention about it in microsoft's website

have a good day anyway! =)

Actually I beleave he was more or less neged because of the "Read your M$ documentation" comment but you have a point here.... he shouldn't have been neged like that. I mean personally I didn't really find the bad english and the comment "that" offensive so I didn't neg... hell I rarely send AP nowdays.

But I think these negs should have been targeted at you instead for all the bitching your doing. But as for the other guy, lets face it **** like 2, b4, ho, & U this is not bad english its pure lazyness and the guy kinda sounded like a smartass on his second post. And come on... this "AP makeing this place go downhill" thing your talking about has always been a issue and dude its been talked about Soooo much and yet its not nearly as bad as it was...

noobies may still have a rought time but all of this is somewhat easy compaired to the AP alliance/wars that used to go on around here. Its not nearly as bad now that its easy to get "payback" due to the usernames appearing which is also kinda why the peaple who are complaining are usually part of the problem.

LOL & with only 20 something posts under your belt yet you've been hideing like a coward since 2002? Well excuse me but I see no reason why you of all the peaple would get off bitching and stuff...

yeah...... you are right |The|Specialist. i don't think that the antipoint a big issue here? nothing to be shame if u got negged. that's depends on your attitude. there are people out there with +70 posts but just get "a dot" of point but never complaint about it.

there is different between "poor of english" and lazyness.....

    Hi,

I would like to help, but I am not quite sure what you are trying to do I have a friend who is about 230 miles from me (370kms). He runs XP home edition, and I have XP Pro. I can provide him with remote support.

We both use the same ADSL internet provider.

I have NOT tried using a 56.6 dial up link (because I need the telephone to talk to him at the same time ) Neither have I tried to use WIN2k or WIN2K server machines.

I noticed that you said "the machine got a bad link anyway".............I recommend that you sort that bit out first?...............a bit unfair to blame the OS if you don't give it a level pitch to play on?

Could you give a few more details on what OS is on the two boxes, and how you are connecting?

    Cheers
