    cpu replacement

    Hello,
I have a HP Pavilion computer, and was going to upgrade the cpu from a celeron 667 to a celeron 800. I know the new one I'm looking at is compatible (mainboard wise), but I was worried about heat. Do I need to get a new heatsink/fan/thermal pad or anything else?

    Thanks

The heatsink should be adequate. The only thing you might need would be some thermal paste, or thermal tape.

i agree with cheyenne. But if you really want to, a better heastsink with a fan wouldn't hurt.
