    Windows Task Manager

When you open Windows Task Manager then click processes it gives you a list of things that are running or something like that. Can anyone tell me what these things are for instance stuff like ISTSVC.EXE ?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Make a list of the stuff you are interested in and look on the Microsoft technical support website.

Use a search engine such as Google to look for them.

Get Spybot Search & Destroy update and run it

Get ADAware6.0 from Lavasoft, update and run it

The last two are for security reasons

    Good Luck

All the *.EXEs that you see at the task manager are services or other programs that are running at the moment.(correct me if i'm wrong)

Hi, back again........................just ran a Google search on ISTSVC.exe................got 99 hits!

Get a firewall try ZoneAlarm or Agnitum (free for private use)

And an antivirus product........AVG From Grisoft is a decent free one.

Please take care.................it's dangerous out there!

    Good Luck!
