Doing Pen-Test Agains Tru64 5.1A NIX Boxes
Hi Folks,
I have Tru64 5.1A Nix Boxes and I want to do pen-test into it.
anybody experience with it.
Please Pointing if there are any reference ....

Penetration tests are designed to audit policy lapses in large/complex networks. They are intended as a spot audit basically.
With a single system infront of you, such is not called for as it is not cost prohibitive to audit all aspects of policy, simply go through the security guidelines for the services and the users and the system and you should be fine.

I agree with Catch. Pen Tests against a single host will do nothing by point out a few wholes. While an entire audit of the box will be more comprehensive and valuable in the long run.
