Stories from when you were a kid

Hey I didn't see anything like this so I thought I'd post it. Anyways... looking back theres been a few happy birthday threads in the past, and peaple talking about how old they are and yadda yadda yadda... blah blah blah...

But intead of hearing about how much it sucks to be old I'd like to hear about some funny stuff that happend to ya as a kid. Me? Well when I was little I remember watching Michel J. Fox do cool **** with a skate board in back to the future. It looked fun so one time I waited for a truck to turn a corner then I grabed the back and rode around for awhile... the ******* was some old man who drove slow yet I could barely keep my foot on the board. About 4 or 5 seconds it sliped just before the driver made another turn. So instead another time I got a friend to tie a cord to the back of his bike then pull me which worked better than the truck thing but the cord was so long that after rideing around for two blocks I busted my ass... my friend tried it and he ziped past two trees nearly hiting them. Another time we were shooting squirt guns... it was fun intil some guy drove by with his windows open. Another time me and about 3 other friends were playing with BBguns...

Those things could punch holes through metal garbage cans... just let your imagination flow on that one Those are just a small portion of the stupid stuff I did.

Im sure I can remember some other stuff too. How about you guys?

Hmmmm.....................reminds me of the time my Grandad and I were out with the local shoot (hunting party) and the local Bank Manager blasted me with a 12 Bore (gauge)............hell I didn't even have an account with him . He claimed that he was "shooting at a pheasant, and hadn't seen me".................it was only some years later I wondered if he spelt that "peasant" and had.

I guess they were only #7 or maybe #6 shot, and the range must have been 50 yards, so no great damage was done, except to his wallet..........the shoot rules were 50c per pellet so at that age I became incredibly rich.

    Cheers

BTW nice thread |The|Specialist, we could do with something a bit light hearted around here of late.

Well actually today is my birthday.

God drinking is coming. I can see it.

    I turned 20 today.

Now as for stuff I did when I was younger, were should I start.

The apple wars that me and friends had, the football games. Oh I got so many.

Those things don't make me feel old, Oddly enough they make me feel kinda good, makes me smile.

    I never smile.

But those things get me to.

Now I got to tell you guys about the apple wars.

At my mom's house there was an Apple tree in the backyard. The apple tree was crappy the apples didn't grow any bigger then a lemon, usually not even that big.

But, we would have a big Apple fight every summer with all of my friends, Think about it like this a snowball fight with apples, And when the point is to get to the other teams Safe point with out getting hit. Now the thing is the safe points were in open field so someone could come from any direction. That and the fact that we usually played that at night.

Then there are the trips I took to Florida with my track team. MEMO never get 30-40 guys that run really fast together at a YMCA, were they are the only people there.
We had a ball, we played all types of games, then it would come to practise time, We would run to we couldn't run anymore.

Anyone that ever ran track know what I mean, I have so many memorys I can't even think of them all. Those are 2 of my favorites.

    Now for cartoon's I got 2 Doug.

Which is my name so I always liked that cartoon, and the best cartoon of all time.

    THUNDER CATS.

    That was the ****.

    I love that cartoon.

I was one of them. Ha.

I remember one day when my two brothers and I were at this pond behind my grandpas house shooting birds and stuff, and my oldest brother aimed at the water to shoot a non- existent fish and the buckshot ricochet (sp) off the water nailing my middle brother square in the temple. No real harm done, he just had a pellet embedded under the skin at his temple. Still there actually.

We also used to shoot each other with low power bb guns. Ah the good ole days.

Boy was he unbelievably lucky. When I was in my young and twisted phaze, my brother and I would tape lizards to 2x4's and practice our shotting on them. Boy do I feel bad about that. Am I going to hell?
