    install faliure

    I`m having a strange error message while trying to install the drivers for my network card on one of my computers. It says

    "An error occurred during the installation of the device
    Error performing inpage operation"

    The network card is a LINKSYS EtherFast 10/100 LAN Card
    The drivers name is "LNE100V5.SYS
    The computers running a fresh install of Windows 2000 Sever with Service Pack 3.

    Hopefully someones come across this before and could point me in the right direction.

    found the problem, turned out to just be a bad block on the hard drive.

    There are several different versions of this card, all of which have seperate drivers. Check the card, then make sure you get the correct driver. This link has the latest drivers, and information for identifying which version of the card you have:-
