It's supposedly a myth but you can never be too careful.

it was something like the irish are the only people who would step over 10 naked women to reach the stout
Got another one for your collection neel.
God invented whisky to prevent the Irish from conquering the world.
Hmm... whisky IS the irish way of spelling it right, never learn which is the American way (whiskey?) and the Irish/English (whisky?).
Read this one at some bar while enjoying some 12 years old cragganmore.

thanks for that one now I can slap them arround with my insulting vocabulary even harder
btw... whiskey is irish ("ireland" contains an e) and whisky is scottish (no e in "scotland"), there is no american whisk(e)y only some mexicans who didn't want to wait till the ship arrived
... at least that's how I learned it

Hi neohunk, and welcome to AO
As it says in the introduction, this is a security site.
There are some of us, however, who are conducting independent research into liver and kidney failure...................this is known in the trade as "excessive drinking"
Scotch = "whisky" no "e"
The McAllan (1939...or 1950)
Laphroaig
Talisker
Highland Park
Glenmorangie
Irish = "Whiskey"
Bushmills single malt
Bushmills "Blackbush"
Paddy
Powers
Jamesons
RUM (West Indies)
Mountgay
Doorley's "Macaw"
Lemon Hart
I hope that this information helps, and that you never use it
Cheers (literally!)
