    FreeBSD desktop?

    Could FreeBSD be effectively used on a "desktop" like as a general purpose computer for everyday use with KDE or Gnome?

    yes , i am right this moment (fluxbox though as i found kde/gnome are to bloated with stuff i don't need)
    if you want to check out the programs available for freebsd www.freebsd.org/ports ~9000 proggys +~90% of linux programs will work also

    hey thanks alot sorry for the late post ive had a bunch of school stuff to do and forgot that the "general chit-chat" doesnt show on the main page
