W32/Gibe-F is a worm that spreads by e-mailing itself via its own SMTP engine to addresses extracted from various sources on the victim's drives (e.g. MBX and DBX files), according to Sophos, which issued an alert Monday.
Microsoft Plugs Browser Hijack Holes - October 6, 2003
The company responds to browser takeover warnings and issues a 'critical' cumulative patch for its flagship Internet Explorer browser.
Trojan Takes Over Browser, Changes DNS Server Setting - October 3, 2003
