I came across this article today, it's for a open source routing project that runs on linux called "Zeebra". It is by no means better than cisco, but not everyone can afford a cisco router for their home network, can they?
Anyway, this should be very attractive to the home/small office network admin for 2 good reasons. It's FREE (the best things always are!) and the software is setup to emulate the cisco IOS, the configuration modes and commands are almost identical. This is very nice for those of you working towards a CCNA who don't get as much lab time as you wish you could.
