    Hardware password manager

    I wonder if anyone could help me with something..
    On thinkgeek.com in there security section they used to have a hardware password manager where you could store passwords and pin codes ect.I want to buy it but now I cannot find it on their site and i cannot find anything similar on google.Can neone help?.

    Are we talking about industrial strength or home user device?

    A home user device.It looks like one of those car bleeper things that turns the car alarm on and off but it says it stores computer passwords and pin numbers and has an auto destruct feature and is very secure .I think I saw it on thinkgeek.com bout 6months ago under the security section but its not their now.Anybody else remember seeing this?,I know lots of people here know about thinkgeek.com just thaught someone would know..

    I looked around for you a bit using google.. came up empty handed.. sorry..

    I see that many folks use a PDA for storing passwords..
    and there's a few utilities for the PDAs that'll store/encrypt them.

    or you can use post-it notes.. like i do.. lol

    sumdumguy - I am with you on the post-it-notes..I don't leave them attachted to my monitor though...haha. I reset everyones permissions and user Ids on our inhouse server and the next day damn near everyone had their password on their monitor...I was like guys please keep them to yourself.

    Hey dood i see your from the UK, if you buy this months edition of PC Answers, on the cover disc they have given away Steganos Security Suite v4.15.

    It does all the stuff you need it to do and more a hell of a lot more and even more that that too!! And its free. You need to register after 30 days to continue using it but im sure you can find a serial number from somewhere!

    Infact the whole cd is full of security tools this month, all of them very good!

    Id definatly check it out this month.

    USB THUMB DRIVE?

    I WONDER IF ONE OF THE USB THUMB DRIVES WOULD DO THE TRICK?
    RECENTLY I HAVE SEEN SOME THAT ENCRPT ALL THE DATA ON THEM.
    i HAD THOUGHT OF USING ONE OF THESE MYSELF.

    why do u need a password storer? if u cant remember ur password then u shouldnt have one period. Do u need a password to view ur passwords in the password storer?? What if it store's ur password to view them....u cant get in without the password that it is storing. I dunno...just dont really see a need for them...sounds like a cool gadget though...u could prolly store a file or something on there 'eh?

    What if you have quite a few passwords????
    Its easier and safer to remember one main one than loads of other ones!
