Okay, I see your point |The|Specialist and as I did note if I was wrong then I apoligize. 90% of the time though when someone is "proud" of their race (especially white) then they tend to be a little racist. I DO NOT like racism @ all. I know this is all said on a sterotype but their are reason sterotypes exist. The have some base of truth.

    Here we go again:

Where the ***** do you get your 90% statistic from, if it's personal experience then state it, otherwise you are presenting information that could perpetuate the stupic idea that we have to be racist.

Most people I know who are proud of their race are non white and not racist, therefore why shouldn't I be proud of my race because I am white.

DO NOT SAY THINGS ON A STEREOTYPE!

You are perpetuating racism by doing so; for example:

You tell me 90% of people proud of their race are racist and I beleive it.

I walk down the street and see someone of different race to me wearing a proud to be <different race to me> T-Shirt.

I think that person is likely to be racist towards me, so I act defensively or aggressively and the person wearing the T-Shirt reacts in a similar manner.

Now this re-enforces your view so that I now beleive it, and also the person with the T-Shirt is more likely to develop feelings of racism towards people of my race.

    Thus the stereo type perpetuates.

Comments such as these add fuel to white supremecists arguments.

Racism is a learned behaviour; what we have to work out as a society, is how to stop teaching people to be racist.

FWI I don't think you are helping.

Okay, so I went to reply to you steve and I decided maybe I should think about this a little more and after thinking about what you said I apoligize in general for my comments on this page and for even bringing up the subject. I am deleting my post.

edit : I can no longer delete my above post so please take no notice of them and accept my sincere apoligies for said comments. I'm afraid I seem to have made a fool of myself.

I don't want you to feel censored, but what I would like is a sensible discsussion on the subject of how to prevent racism from being perpetuated - I'll add to the thread in Cosmos with my Ideas
