    Yahoo MultiDomain/Spellcheck?

OKay i've noticed that when i goto www.yahoo.com and mispell the address it still takes me to Yahoo.com. The following addresses will redirect you to yahoo.com

    http://ayhoo.com/
    http://yhaoo.com/

Does that mean that they are spending money of 2 more domain names just for people who cant spell or mispell a word?

I thought it was neat and something to share.

This is slightly irrelevant to the main post:

A few years back people registered "sound alike" typos and tried to sell them to the major corporations concerned.

I think that this is a proactive response?

    Cheers

It's better than someone spoofing sites and stealing privilaged information by people who are not security smart enough to make sure. These people already comprimise themselves via email, why make it easier for them to do it other places. In the end some idiot may end up suing the company because the site was spelled incorrectly and they[the idiot] ended up giving away their credit card number, etc.
