Oracle 8.7.x
Hi guys ,
Any of you aware of the oracle version 8.7.x. someone told me that it does exist but I could not find it on oracle site. the last one was 8.1.7.
can you confirm me ?

Are you sure it's not a typo on their part? or referencing another part of Oracle (I know that Oracle has some of it's apps named differently).

The information is supplied by a third party not by Oracle , so it could be that it is not a relevant information but still not sure

If Oracle does not have any reference to it, then it does not exist.

As far as the database is concerned, there is not a version 8.7. They had version 8.0, then 8.1 ( 8i ), and then they moved onto 9i, which will be 9.x.
I would suggest that one of the two suggestions above is the answer : either it is a typo for 8.1.7, or the reference is to another Oracle product. The former seems most likely, as I don't think any of their other products is at anywhere close to v8, and they don't have any issues about keeping versions in line.

ya .. got the confirmation ..8.7.x does not exist.
