    How to let router accept pings?

    Ok guys this problem has been bugging me for a while now.

    I like to play online games, and I've never had any problems, until I bought Command and Conquer Generals. Now whenever I play online, it shows my ping as a red instead of green. As a matter of fact, it shows everyones ping as red. It took me a minute to figure it out, then I realized that my router (Linksys BEFSX 41) is dropping the ping requests which explains the bad ping I show.

    So my problem is that every one kicks me out of their game because they think I'm on Dial up. I try to tell them that its my router, but they'r just a bunch of dumb people. lol

    So does anyone know how to let the router accept the pings then after I'm done witht the game, I turn it back on.

    Router= Linksys BEFSX 41

    thanks

    You could always just use your DMZ port correct?

    I totally forogt about that. Thats right I could, the DMZ port doesn't shield my computer from anything. As long as my firewall is up, I should be fine.

    Thanks.
