I can only speak for Cisco, as I am doing the CCNA, via the Cisco Networking Academy Program at present. It is the new v3.0, and the on-line material is excellent. Suggest you have a look at their site

I was a mcse trainer for a few years, cram seesions do work if yo have some understanding of the material to begin with, basicly they help you answer the questions but don't teach oyu the material.
Who is more trustworthy then all of the gurus or Buddha’s?

I'm sorry,I have no idea, as the CCNA is a component part of my BSc degree in Communications Technology. Here is a link for the Academy locator, if you check out one near you they will be able to advise you on programme details, cost etc.

Do you have at least most of the MCSE and MCSD skills?
If so, just get the Sybex MCSE E-Trainer. It's a box set of 4 cd's, covering all areas of the MCSE exams. It gives you a practice test, and finds your weak spots. It then covers those areas. The whole set should be about $50 US. There is also one for the MCSD. Both should be available at any major bookstore.
If you don't have at least most of the skills down, I wouldn't do any electronic course. You get far better help if there is a person you can talk face to face with.
As far as the other certs are concerned, I just don't know. I've only been through the Microsoft stuff.
Real security doesn't come with an installer.
