Thumbs up X-ray bursts in the sun

I have been reading about this huge storm in the sun. (40 billion times more powerful than an atomic bomb)
It is all rather amazing to me.

I'm not going to get into the technical details of it... you can do that on your own.

news.google.com will turn up a couple dozen results for you.

What I want to point out is the awesome pics and graphics that are being created by this.

Since I can't get all the links to work properly... the CNN page will have to do.

They have several galeries setup that you can check out.

What impressed me the most was @ http://sidc.oma.be/index.php3

Right click on the movie and download it. Its 18MB... but well worth it. Its amazing. You can actaully see the explosions and the interference in the camera. WoW! (I'm such a geek! )
Hopefully they won't change it anytime soon. If they do...
http://sidc.oma.be/movies/current_eit_195.mpg is the one I'm talking about.

You can check out some more of the movies @ http://sidc.oma.be/movies/

Quitmzilla is a firefox extension that gives you stats on how long you have quit smoking, how much money you\'ve saved, how much you haven\'t smoked and recent milestones. Very helpful for people who quit smoking and used to smoke at their computers... Helps out with the urges.

I posted in Cosmos about it the other day. Amazing it is... anyone felt anything? We had a lot of interference on our cellphones last Wednesday (but then again, we're using AT&T so we're used to that).
