I know I shouldn't be upset when I was at one time the same way...but people use GOOGLE!!!!!!! Search engines were invented for a reason, and you cant get better than google! And if someone wants to make sure everybody knows about something, they CAN use google!

I see people posting ENTIRE tutorials, stolen right off the web and getting APs for it, SENIOR MEMBERS doing this. What is thast other than clutter? If you want people to know about tutorials that you find good put in a series of links or something. ANYBODY can just copy and paste a tutorial, not everybody can write their own, help people, or clarify the content of the tutorial. That takes skill.

I know I'm going to get flamed, possibly by people I respect. But there are tutorials all over the place! AO has a tutorial section, CyberArmy has a HUGE tutorial section with THOUSANDS of tuts. Both are good resources.

Google people, Google! If not for my sanity, do it to help yourselves, true hacking is about LEARNING and doing things for yourselves not being spoon fed by people who had to work to get where they are. I'm sorry if I seem mad, but this is discouraging and really makes me mad. It is this "instant hacking" that started the script kiddies, and by spoon feeding people they aren't going to learn anything.

This is almost the exact opposite to my post titled rant
I hope you don't get flamed, you were just letting off some steam. I totally understand what you are saying. It seems like you are mainly hung up on people copying tutorials. I think if a tutorial is really good a person has a right to copy and paste it to the antionline tutorial section(Although it would be better to post in another forum and just give a link), just so long as they give a link to the original. It just makes this site that much better to have another great resource. But I think this site is google to some people. Maybe we should pride ourselves that people think that AO is a better resource than the great GOOGLE. I think it is something to brag about.

I don't see why you should get negged for this- you're expressing an opinion and making some decent points at the same time. I would be dismayed to see this behaviour from Seniors though....

... I haven't seen this lately but then I've not been around that much recently.
