Removing MSN Messenger
I have just re-installed XP and forgot how to remove MSN messenger as it dosent show up in the Add/Remove programs utility, so I done a quick search and found this:
Open up the RUN prompt from the start menu and copy this:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
Then OK it and restart your computer when prompted!
Voilla!
Just thought I would share this as it seems to be the quickest way I could find to remove Messenger!

ok. Enable "show hidden file and folder" from Tool->Folder Options. Go to "Windows->and go to the inf folder. Open the file sysoc and the delete "hide," from this line
msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,hide,7
then go to the control panel and then to add remove programs and the click "add remove windows components" in the side panel. Then scroll down and Windows Messenger should be in the list. Just uncheck the little box in front of it and click next, and then click finish.
That's it.
