Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VMM32.vxd is required to run windows

I think i deleted a file is wasn't suposed to how do i fix this problem. All i can use is msdos.
    The error message reads:

VMM32.VXD IS REQUIRED TO RUN WINDOWS.
IF THIS FILE IS NOT FOUND IN YOUR PATH, YOU MAY NEED TO REINSTALL WINDOWS.

Can I fix this without reinstalling windows

michael737n > try putting that file on a floppy and using msdos to get the file into the system directory or wherever else it goes.

You don't have a floppy drive?

The file is still on the HD. It was just removed from the FAT. Depending on which version of Windows/DOS you have, you should be able to use undelete to restore the file.
    c:\>cd\windows\system
    c:\>undelete

This should restore the file, assuming the HD space where it was stored has not been overwritten. Deleting files does not get rid of them, it just tells the system the file no longer exists.
Real security doesn't come with an installer.

when you type undelete, type this in after it

    c:\windows\system>undelete VMM32.VXD

    see if that works.
