Thread: OS that runs from CD???

    Does anyone run their OS off of a CD regularly???
    I use them quit a lot.
    ..some of the common probs,...
    The biggest prob would be that you have some unreckonized legacy hardware and the live distro won't boot
    Further, running a system from a cd can make it slow, loading up apps can take ages sometimes

    Yeah , got Knoppix going well enough to make this post. Gotta go buy a thumb drive now for saving purposes. It works pretty fast for running off of a CD. Very nice GUI and resonably friendly user interface for a linux distro. Although, I am still an ASP Linux fan. Thanks for all the help guys...
