Talking How to bypass the ads

Well lots of members including me are not very happy with the ads.

So I captured the url to get the new posts and replaced my link in favorites with this one.
Copy and paste the url in the properties of the favorites.

    http://www.antionline.com/search.php?s=&action=getnew

I bet a lot of us already knew this, but maybe it helps some others who didn't .

    Greetz,

    Shrekkie,

What ad's ???? - I've heard about them but never seen them

I have been running adzapper (a redirector for squid from http://adzapper.sourceforge.net/) for a long while now and see very few ad's on any sites ..... sorry to the advertisers and those wishing to generate revenue from them - but I never clicked through ad's anyway.

By the way this is very easy to set up if you are running a linux gateway and squid and you wish to filter ad's not only here, but all over the Net.

    Thanks for the link anyway.

Same here, I'm using Outpost Pro.

I didn't even see them until I went into my brothers room yesterday.

These ads are the only thing keeping this site running right now. Do not forget that this site exists to make money for Jupiter Meida and our enjoying it is a secondary benifit.

So yes, I'm quite happy with the ads because I find them well placed, unobtrusive, and not too rampant. They also mean that I can expect my beloved AntiOnline to be still running tomorrow.

No ads, no AntiOnline. Remember that.

hrm, I logged on to another machine here running IE 6.x and checked out Antionline. I still don't see these ads that everyone is talking/complaining about. Anyone have a screenie of them? I'm actually kind of curious now.
