yeap..most intro to programming I classes are now java oriented...atleast the one at my university are...in highschool i took internet academy with oracle and did java, sql, and database design so i got a headstart ...i have read the sams books it good and is great for reviewing for a test the main concepts...i recommend you try 'big java' it a huge book on just about every java concept you can think of.
