How fast do you download?
Just wondering how fast everyone downloads at on their connection, and if you're satisfied with it (for what you pay) or if you think it is supposed to be faster. I recently did a bandwidth test on www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest and it came out a bit better than I thought it would have. I attached my pics... you guys should post yours too.

And here's a pic of the comparison of mine to others in my area. I have no idea what's going on, but I'm happy about it, hehe.

I would post a pic, but I'm downloading a large file right now, and my results would not be accurate.
Dude I'm F***ing jealous. your almost hitting 5 mega bits, I only get 1/2 of a megabit A.K.A 512kbps. lol
Damn I want a faster connection.
When I download, I download at 52KB. I pay $40 a month for this. I think that I should at least get 1.5mb for speed, but thats the only high speed internet available here. lol

Here are my results:
edit
I have a cable modem and my provider is Roadrunner. I'm not sure what I pay, my dad pays the bills. I would guess anywhere from $29.99 to $49.99. We also have the Time Warner digital cable. I'm happy with my connection though. I find that I'm mostly limited by the host I'm downloading from not my connection.

Thats it.
I'm moving to somewhere else.
The worst part about this whole thing is when I had the Phone people over here working on my connection (there was a problem with their servers dropping my connection) they were talking about how they set up test connections at 8 and 9 Mbps. I tried to talk them into just giving me another 512kbps but they wouldn't do it. lol

cheyenne: lol, they had some commercials on tv the other day and was like "we're not 50% faster!" and I was like yeh whatever. So that's when I went to check and they really are a lot faster than usual. I actually hit a little higher speed than what I posted, but right now I've got some torrents downloading so it messed it up, but not by much at all (around 100 kbps or so). I'm paying 45/month... you should call them and complain man!
h3r3tic: Not bad at all. What kind of connection are you on, and how much do you pay? Let's evolve this thread into that, too, to see who has good turnaround for their money in the world.

I would easily pay $45 a month for that kind of speed. I mean 512kbps is ok, but when I'm downloading a 600MB file like I am right now, I could really use that extra speed. lol

lol, yeah. I got a 650 this morning in 25.5 minutes, and I swear it was better than watching porn. :-p
