    Can anyone tell me if there is anyway i can recover data which is not backed up & formatted on a partition using fdisk?

    You have undelete tools, I don't know which are the best as I only have used Mcafee Undelete, you can search google...

    You can try FileRestore by Winternals. It would require you to have another machine with a working version of Windows on it but I have had some luck with it.
