Guys please dont neg new members because you think they are stupid. All because someone is new, that doesnt mean that they have never herd about google or search engines. Codewarrior happens to be a good friend of mine and he was searching for a keylogger for his system to play around with, so i told him to come here and ask. He told me who negged him and it turns out that that person is a senior member. A senior member negged a newbie for no real reason because he thought that he newbie was to dumb to use a search engine??? man thats really lame. I mean if a genius logged on to AO, he would instantly become a newbie, and he might know more than all of us. Please guys, dont just neg people because you think they are newbies and that makes them dumb

This is about all I could find: http://keystroke-loggers.staticusers.net/mac.shtml

Apparently, versions of the OS change enough from version to version that keyloggers tend to be version specific, at least if I am understanding what I have been reading.

Ok, this might be a stupid idea... but:

Since OSX is built off of BSD, can't you just use a BSD keylogger? Insert it into the kernel?

I'm not too familiar with MAC's OS's... so please excuse my ignorence.

OS X doesn't use the BSD kernal, it uses the Mach kernal. It will run bsd programs though (if you have them ported using fink or darwinports). Most linux based programs are being ported to OS X also so you can check fink (http://fink.sourceforge.net/) and darwin ports (http://darwinports.opendarwin.org/) for them also.

souleman: Thanks for clearing that up. I was unsure... hense the "excuse my ignorence"

Since you're the expert around here with MAC and OSX... are you aware of any keyloggers for it? (I suspect that you would have posted them already if you did?)

Depends on the "need" for it...

http://www.securemac.com/typerecorder.php is pretty cool, but is kind of obvious that it is running. (btw, that webside is really good)
